Payroll Specialist (Buffalo)
Job Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for maintaining master file data, preparing and inputting payroll timekeeping data and assisting in payroll processing. The incumbent generates payroll reports and files on a routine basis.
Nature and Scope
The position reports directly to the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, and interacts with the Director of Human Resources (DHR) and Benefits Accountant. Interaction with staff, manager and attorneys with regard to personal/payroll matters requires extreme confidentiality, with an emphasis on service to all employees.
Education and Experience
AAS degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field of study required. Two years full-time experience in HRIS or Payroll in a systems-based environment. Computer literacy specifically with Excel and MS Word required. Experience with UltiPro for Windows and COGNOS Report Writer preferred.
