NEW YORK CITY — Robert N. Gottfried, a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP's Immigration Practice Group, recently spoke at the 7th Annual American Immigration Lawyers Association New York Chapter Immigration Law Symposium at the New York Marriott Marquis.
The seminar, entitled "Immigration's New Age: Agencies Struggle to Find Themselves; We Struggle to Adapt and Survive," was attended by more than 300 attorneys. Mr. Gottfried was a member of a panel of experts that discussed employment-based immigrant visa petitions for extraordinary aliens, outstanding researchers, and individuals who qualify for national interest waivers.
Mr. Gottfried has 27 years of immigration law experience in the New York City area. His clients are individuals and corporations, including an international biotech company, an international airline, and hospitals. Mr. Gottfried also represents United Nations employees and the diplomatic community in U.S. immigration cases. Mr. Gottfried obtains work visas, permanent resident status, and U.S. citizenship for his clients. He has obtained permanent residence for world-famous artists, photographers, athletes, scientists, and authors based on their extraordinary ability in their chosen profession. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
