Hodgson Russ among 200 largest law firms headquartered in U.S.

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Hodgson Russ LLP now ranks as the 184th largest law firm headquartered in the United States, according to the 2005 NLJ 250, an annual survey of the nation's 250 largest law firms published by the National Law Journal.

Hodgson Russ moved up from its previous ranking of 205th in the 2004 survey.

"Breaking into the top 200 on this survey marks an important step in our growth as a firm," said Gary M. Schober, president and CEO of Hodgson Russ. "As we continue to implement our plan to expand in size and capability in all our markets—New York State, Toronto, and Southern Florida—I hope to see Hodgson Russ at an even higher ranking on the 2006 NLJ 250."

Hodgson Russ has more than 220 attorneys practicing in all major areas of law. It is one of approximately 100 firms in the country listed in America's Greatest Places to Work With a Law Degree. In June 2005, Hodgson Russ received the Carol S. Knox Family-Friendly Employer Award from the Capital District Women's Bar Association. The Firm, which was established in 1817 and is among the oldest law firms in the United States, is the only law firm that can count two former U.S. presidents, Millard Fillmore and Grover Cleveland, among its alumni.
