Hodgson Russ partner Ellen V. Weissman a speaker at American Health Lawyers Association seminar

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Ellen V. Weissman, Esq., a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP's Health Law Practice Group, was a speaker recently at the American Health Lawyers Association Institute on Medicare and Medicaid Payment Issues in Baltimore, Maryland.

The annual seminar, which included sessions on more than 50 topics, is considered to be the premier national conference on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues. It featured recognized experts from the legal field and from the federal government's Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Ms. Weissman was a faculty member on a panel entitled "Workshop on PRRB Practice Issues" along with Paul Crofton, the director of hearings for the Provider Reimbursement Review Board (PRRB), and Bernard Talbert, associate general counsel for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, which represents Medicare fiscal intermediaries in PRRB appeals.

Ms. Weissman devotes her practice to serving health care clients, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and others, particularly in reimbursement, regulatory, and compliance matters. She has lectured extensively in health law and she is an adjunct professor at the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
