NEW YORK CITY — Robert N. Gottfried, Esq., a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP's Immigration Law Practice Group in the Firm's New York City office, was a speaker recently at three engagements in the New York City area.

Mr. Gottfried spoke at a United Nations pre-retirement conference on procedures for UN retirees to obtain permanent residence and ancillary U.S. immigration benefits. It marked the fifth consecutive year he was invited to make this address.

Mr. Gottfried also spoke to foreign students at St. John's University about opportunities for post-graduation working visas.

At the New York office of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Gottfried lectured on how to adjudicate applications for permanent residence for the children of UN employees.

Mr. Gottfried has 27 years of immigration law experience in the New York City area. His clients are individuals and corporations, including an international biotech company, an international airline, and hospitals. Mr. Gottfried also represents United Nations employees and the diplomatic community in U.S. immigration cases. Mr. Gottfried obtains work visas, permanent resident status, and U.S. citizenship for his clients. Mr. Gottfried has obtained permanent residence for world-famous artists, photographers, athletes, scientists, and authors based on their extraordinary ability in their chosen profession.

With more than 200 attorneys practicing in all major areas of law, Hodgson Russ is the 205th largest law firm headquartered in the United States, as reported by the National Law Journal.
