At the seminar, which was sponsored by Hodgson Russ, Mr. Madden and Ms. Fitzsimmons gave a presentation entitled "Canadian Business Expansion Into the U.S." It provided a case study analysis of U.S. business, tax, and immigration issues for Canadian businesses considering expansion into the United States. Mr. Madden is the chair of Hodgson Russ's Immigration Practice Group. He has more than 20 years of experience in immigration and nationality law matters. He has lectured extensively on immigration law and related matters, and he is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. Ms. Fitzsimmons is a member of Hodgson Russ's Federal/International Tax Practice Group. She regularly counsels clients on tax and corporate issues related to business expansion into the United States from foreign jurisdictions and tax considerations in domestic and foreign private and public offerings.
