BUFFALO, N.Y. — Denise E. O'Donnell, Esq., a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP's Business Litigation and White-Collar Crime Practice Groups, was a presenter at the recent Foundation for Accounting Education 2005 Anti-Fraud Conference, Crowne Plaza at Times Square Manhattan, New York City.
Ms. O'Donnell's presentation, entitled "Hot Legal Topics for Forensic Accountants," addressed issues to help accountants more effectively uncover fraud during audits and investigations.
Ms. O'Donnell concentrates her practice in government regulatory investigations and white-collar crime, with an emphasis on health care law, civil fraud and false claims act litigation, and corporate compliance. She served as the United States attorney for the Western District of New York from 1997 to 2001, which included direction of all criminal prosecutions and civil litigation for the federal government in the 17 counties of Western New York.
With more than 220 attorneys practicing in all major areas of law, Hodgson Russ is approximately the 185th largest law firm headquartered in the United States.
