TORONTO, ON. — Garry M. Graber, Esq., a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP's Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Commercial Litigation Practice Group, led a half-day workshop at the third annual "Commercial Insolvency and Restructuring" conference, September 19-20, St. Andrew's Club and Conference Center, Toronto. Hodgson Russ is one of the few law firms with a full-time office in Toronto devoted exclusively to practicing U.S. law.
The conference was sponsored by Insight Information, a leading provider of continuing education for senior executives and professionals throughout Canada and the United States.
Mr. Graber's hands-on workshop, entitled "Fundamentals of U.S. and Cross-Border Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law," provided crucial fundamentals and practical information about U.S. bankruptcy law and cross-border issues for Canadian lawyers representing companies doing business in the United States.
Mr. Graber has over 25 years of experience practicing bankruptcy, corporate restructuring, creditors' rights, financial services, and commercial and corporate litigation and general business law. He represents troubled business entities, their secured and unsecured creditors, and their shareholders and principals inside and outside of bankruptcy, as well as creditors' committees, equity committees, trustees, examiners, and purchasers in bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings across the United States and in cross-border matters, primarily with Canada.
