NEW YORK, N.Y. — Stephen H. Gross, Esq., a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP's Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Commercial Litigation Practice Group, served as co-chair of the fourth annual "Airline Restructuring" conference, October 17-18, Park Central New York.
The summit, sponsored by the American Conference Institute, focused on ways for lawyers, financiers, and all others involved in airline restructuring to capitalize on opportunities in the distressed airline industry.
In addition to being co-chair of the conference, Mr. Gross was a co-presenter of "How Recent Developments in the Operation of Section 1110 Will Impact Airline Restructuring." The presentation addressed compliance with Section 1110 of the U.S. bankruptcy code, the continuing impact of the 2003 United Airlines bankruptcy decision, and more.
Mr. Gross has more than 35 years of experience in representing institutional lenders in the restructuring of financially distressed companies including Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court debt restructures, secured financing, and complicated acquisitions of businesses in bankruptcy. He has been involved in virtually all of the major airline bankruptcies of the past 30 years including Eastern, Pan Am, Braniff, Continental I and II, Tower, United, TWA, and ATA. He is nationally recognized as one of the leading authorities in the airline restructuring field.
