BUFFALO, N.Y. — Hodgson Russ LLP partners Alice A. Joseffer, Esq., and Kevin K. Gluc, Esq., were the featured speakers at a recent breakfast meeting held by the Financial Planning Counselors of Western New York.

In their presentation, entitled "Circular 230: New Rules in Regard to Tax Practice," Ms. Joseffer and Mr. Gluc addressed the Internal Revenue Service's recent changes to the law regarding tax advice, including written opinions and communications prepared by attorneys, accountants, and financial planners.

Ms. Joseffer is the leader of the Firm's Tax Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She counsels clients on tax issues related to all types of domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, executive compensation arrangements, and personal income and estate planning for business executives and their families. She regularly represents clients with tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Gluc is a partner in the Estates & Trusts and Tax Dispute Resolution Practice Groups. He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and estate administration, with an emphasis on drafting wills and trusts to accommodate various client needs including estate tax planning, business succession planning, Canada-U.S. cross-border planning, and charitable planning.
