Mark A. Harmon a presenter at Securities Transfer Association conference

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Mark A. Harmon, a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP's Business Litigation Practice Group, was a featured speaker at the Securities Transfer Association annual conference, held recently in Palm Beach, Florida. The conference focused on current issues faced by securities investors such as dematerialization, the advent of paperless legals, and increased regulatory scrutiny.

At the conference, Mr. Harmon presented transfer agent litigation case studies to assist agents in recognizing where potential exposures exist and how to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in litigation and resulting financial loss.

Mr. Harmon's practice includes representing financial institutions and transfer agents in court proceedings dealing in securities-related issues. He has represented transfer agents on general matters and regarding their responsibilities under UCC Article 8 for more than 15 years.
