Mr. Friedman has been a member of the BECHS board of managers since 2000, is currently chair of the Governance Committee, and has served on the Executive and Museum Collections Committees during his six-year tenure. He was also a leader of the Transition Committee, which oversaw recent museum operations. Mr. Friedman's community involvement includes his membership on the board of trustees of The Buffalo Seminary, the national board of advisors for the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ), and the board of directors of the First Shiloh Youth Foundation, Inc. In addition, he continues his activities with Leadership Buffalo, where he has served as president. He is also a former president of NCCJ. He formerly served on the boards of the Office of Urban Initiatives, Inc., the Buffalo Alliance for Education, and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo. Mr. Friedman was among Business First's "40 Under 40" in 1994. Mr. Friedman focuses his practice in corporate law, finance law, and mergers and acquisitions law. He has a B.A. from the University of Rochester and a J.D, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh Law School, where he was a member of Order of the Coif and executive editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
