Hodgson Russ partner Anita Coles Costello elected president of Hallwalls board of directors
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Anita Coles Costello, a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP’s Employee Benefits Practice Group, has been named president of the board of directors of Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center. In 2003, she joined the board and became chair of the Audit & Finance Committee and most recently was the board’s vice president.
Ms. Costello concentrates her practice in employee benefits, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, ERISA, tax, executive compensation, and stock and equity-based compensation programs. In addition to a J.D. from University at Buffalo Law School, State University of New York, Ms. Costello holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in art history from Bryn Mawr College.
Hallwalls’ mission is twofold: to serve artists by supporting the creation and presentation of new work in the visual, media, performing, and literary arts, and to serve the public by making these works available. The art center recently relocated to the restored former church at the corner of Delaware and Tupper.
Hodgson Russ attorneys facilitate transactions around the world and in every substantive area of law, generally structuring multidisciplinary work teams to serve the specific, often complex, needs of our clients public and privately held businesses, governmental entities, nonprofit institutions, and individuals. Hodgson Russ (www.hodgsonruss.com) has two offices in New York, New York, and offices in Albany, Buffalo, and Johnstown, New York; Boca Raton and Palm Beach, Florida; and Toronto, Ontario. In 2007, Hodgson Russ will complete renovations of the Guaranty Building, a National Historic Landmark designed by renowned American architect Louis Sullivan that houses the firm’s Buffalo office. The firm is proud to ensure that the building, whose future has at times been uncertain, will continue as one of America’s most important architectural landmarks and that the firm will maintain a significant presence in downtown Buffalo for many years to come. ####
