New York, NY — Jeffrey A. Rinde, a partner in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group at Hodgson Russ LLP and leader of the firm’s Asia Practice Group, recently gave several presentations on cross-border business between the United States and China.

  • Mr. Rinde was a member of the “China-U.S. Opportunities” panel at the Global Chinese Financial Forum (GCFF) in San Francisco, California. The GCFF is a series of financial events annually held by ChineseWorldNet.com Inc. and NAI Interactive Ltd. and designed to foster the development of the North American and Greater Chinese financial industry. Hodgson Russ was pleased to be a global corporate sponsor of this event.
  • At the Second Annual China International Private Equity Forum in Tianjin, China, Mr. Rinde discussed opportunities and challenges Western investors face in the Chinese market. The forum presents an opportunity for corporate executives and investment professionals to network with Chinese growth companies and learn more about investing in China.
  • Mr. Rinde gave two presentations on available means for Chinese middle-market private companies to enter U.S. capital markets. He first spoke at a conference in Zhuhai, China, sponsored by Allied Merit International Investments and co-sponsored by Zhuhai Small and Medium Business Service Center and Zhuhai Hi-Tech Innovation Service Center, under the special support of the Economic and Trade Bureau of Zhuhai City and the Zhuhai Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau. His second presentation on this topic was at a conference in Shanghai, sponsored by Shanghai Private Enterprise Association. Attendees to these conferences represented the top private enterprises in these areas based on revenue.

Mr. Rinde focuses his practice on securities regulation and compliance, representing numerous U.S. and foreign public corporations with a particular emphasis on Asia. He has extensive experience in public and private equity and debt security financings, international mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, and corporate law and governance. He also represents issuers and merchant and investment banking firms in public and private securities offerings, as well as representing buyers, sellers, and financial advisors in a variety of public and private business combinations.
