The GOLD Group is part of the law school's alumni association. It provides low-cost educational and social programs and services that are designed to assist new graduates with the transition from student to attorney, including Continuing Legal Education programs and career services. University at Buffalo Law School alumni are members of the GOLD group for their first 10 years following graduation. Mr. Trachtenberg concentrates his practice in state and local tax law, with a focus on New York State and City taxes. He counsels clients on individual, business, corporate, and trust taxation issues, and represents taxpayers in contested state and local tax matters of all types. Mr. Trachtenberg is also an adjunct faculty member at the University at Buffalo Law School and on the board of directors of the Community Music School. Other Hodgson Russ-affiliated GOLD Group board members are Bethany Gilbert, an attorney in the Health Law and Corporate & Securities Practice Groups, and Brent Nowicki, who has passed the New York State Bar exam. With more than 230 attorneys practicing in all major areas of law, Hodgson Russ is among the 200 largest law firms headquartered in the United States.
