Perry named a commissioner of the NFTA BUFFALO, N.Y. — Adam W. Perry, a partner in Hodgson Russ’s Business Litigation and Employment Litigation Practice Groups, has been named a commissioner of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA). Mr. Perry’s nomination to the post by New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer was confirmed yesterday by the New York State Senate. Mr. Perry will serve a five-year term on the governing board, which manages all public surface transportation, airports, and ports in Erie and Niagara counties. NFTA has also been involved in numerous initiatives to provide professional, efficient transportation services to the region, including the introduction of electric hybrid buses to its metro system, the arrival of low-cost air carriers at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, and plans to construct a new terminal at the Niagara Falls International Airport. Mr. Perry concentrates his practice in employment-related litigation and has represented numerous employers, including nonprofit organizations, governments, and businesses in complex litigation, with a primary focus on employer/employee disputes. He focuses his litigation practice in representing management in state and federal courts and in arbitration, including employment discrimination, harassment, breach of contract, and civil rights claims. Mr. Perry is active in numerous civic and community activities throughout Western New York, and he is a graduate of Erie Community College, the University at Buffalo, and the University of Michigan Law School.
