Hodgson Russ Partners Speak at Club Managers Association Seminar in Florida
Larry Corman, Richard A. Goetz, and Glenn M. Rissman, all partners in the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group, spoke at a recent seminar hosted by the Seminole Region of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), Florida Chapter.
Mr. Corman addressed how to properly investigate and resolve harassment or discrimination complaints. Mr. Goetz discussed grievance procedures, mandatory membership, IRS compliance, club liability exposure, and terms of construction contracts. Mr. Rissman discussed immigration issues clubs may face when hiring foreign workers.
The CMAA is the professional association for managers of membership clubs. With almost 7,000 members across all classifications, CMAA members run more than 3,000 country, golf, city, athletic, faculty, yacht, town, and military clubs across the country.
