Adam W. Perry nominated by governor to NFTA board

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Adam W. Perry, a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP’s Business Litigation Practice Group, has been nominated by Governor Eliot Spitzer and Lieutenant Governor David Paterson to the board of directors of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA). The nomination is expected to be confirmed by the New York State Senate.

The NFTA is the local provider of public transportation for Erie and Niagara Counties. The semi-public authority also functions as a ports authority, managing Buffalo's Small Boat Harbor, Buffalo Niagara International Airport, and Niagara Falls International Airport. Agency-wide, the NFTA holds approximately $1 billion worth of property, has an annual budget in excess of $175 million, employs 1,119 full time and part-time employees, and carries 94,000 passengers per day with its NFTA Metro subsidiary.

Mr. Perry concentrates his practice in the areas of employment litigation, real estate litigation, general litigation, and real estate and development law. He is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, former general counsel to and member of the board of directors of the Buffalo Urban League, a trustees of Erie Community College, president of Mayor Byron Brown's Fund to Advance Buffalo, and a member of the board of directors of the Buffalo Police Foundation.
