NEW YORK, N.Y. — Jeffrey A. Rinde, a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group, has been named to the board of advisors of the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a board member, Mr. Rinde will work closely with school administration on a number of initiatives, including serving on the Committee for the college’s recently created Center for China America Business Studies.

The Center for China America Business Studies offers comprehensive programs designed to prepare students for greater international understanding and business success. It includes experience-based educational opportunities for Westminster and Chinese students as well as courses on Chinese business, culture, and market trends. The center also aims to provide information on opportunities in China for businesses in the Western United States.

Mr. Rinde focuses his practice on securities regulation and compliance, representing numerous U.S. and foreign public corporations with a particular emphasis on Asia. He has extensive experience in public and private equity and debt security financings, international mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, and corporate law and governance. He also represents issuers and merchant and investment banking firms in public and private securities offerings, as well as representing buyers, sellers, and financial advisors in a variety of public and private business combinations. Mr. Rinde's clients are involved in a broad range of business areas, including agriculture, alternative fuel technology, automobile, biotechnology, direct marketing, entertainment, health care, high-technology and Internet services, media and new media, oil and gas, natural resource and mining, pharmaceutical, precious metals, telecommunications, traditional manufacturing, wholesale and retail, computer, real estate, and consumer products.
