Kempf, III part of inaugural Leadership Tech Valley Class of 2007 ALBANY, N.Y. — Hodgson Russ LLP is pleased to announce that Carl J. Kempf, III, a senior associate in the firm's Corporate & Securities and Estates & Trusts Practice Groups, has been selected to be part of the Leadership Tech Valley program, a new joint initiative of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Schenectady. By merging two successful leadership programs, the Albany-Colonie Chamber's CAPITAL LEADERSHIP program and the Schenectady Chamber's Leadership Schenectady initiative, Leadership Tech Valley will provide greater opportunities for individuals from diverse fields and backgrounds to address regional challenges, enhance their leadership network, foster creative problem solving, and shape a progressive future for Tech Valley. The new program's initial class has 36 members. Mr. Kempf counsels clients on a wide range of corporate and business law matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations; business transactions between private and public companies; contracts and other general business advisory matters, including issues related to intellectual property matters; sales of businesses; venture capital and private equity transactions; the formation, financing, and structuring of start-up companies; joint ventures; private placements; and exempt security offerings. In addition, he advises fiduciaries, individuals, and families on estates and trusts, and U.S. and international wealth-transfer planning matters.
