 Printer-friendly firm brochure in French

The multidisciplinary team of attorneys that makes up Hodgson Russ’s France Practice Group provides experienced U.S. legal representation both for French clients with business or personal interests in the United States and for U.S.-based clients doing business in France. Our France Practice Group advises clients in a wide range of industries, such as, among many others, communications, energy, food and beverages, life sciences, manufacturing, professional services, and software and technology.

Our France Practice Group’s co-leaders are foreign trade advisors to the French Republic (Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur). One is a member of the Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles. Another is general counsel to the French Consulate General in New York; in this role, he has advised ministries and public entities of the French government for more than 15 years. This partner is also a member of the Electoral Commission of the French Consulate General in New York and was on the board of directors of the French American Chamber of Commerce for approximately 15 years.

We have helped numerous French companies with their entry and expansion into the United States. For example, we have performed recent corporate, real estate, regulatory, and immigration work for a French international developer of renewable energy projects in the United States, and we continue to assist the company. Hodgson Russ also recently represented a leading French provider of databases and software solutions for the health care industry in its acquisition of a former rival in the pharmaceutical marketing solutions sector, resulting in a combined company with operations in more than 75 countries. We also recently completed a strategic acquisition by a French manufacturer of a major U.S. supplier to the auto industry.
