Regulations Require Compliance Programs to Be in Place by September 29, 2009

August 21, 2009

 Investigation Form 2009

The current emphasis by the New York Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) on audit programs to increase health care compliance and monetary recoveries has important implications for entities that receive Medicaid reimbursements and risks for providers that do not participate in proactive compliance.

We have developed an investigation form for use when implementing, reporting, auditing, and monitoring policies (see PDF above). The mandatory compliance program regulations require compliance programs to be in place by September 29, 2009.
