Reminder: Employers Must Transition to Revised Form (I-9) by December 26, 2007

As of December 26, 2007, employers will be required to use the revised version of Form I-9 to verify the employment eligibility of each individual they hire to work in the U.S. The only version of the form valid for use is identified by the code "(Rev. 06/05/07)N", printed on the lower right corner of the form. Employers who fail to use the revised form as of December 26th will be subject to applicable penalties. The revised form can be found at http://www.uscis.gov/i-9, along with special instructions outlining changes to the revised form.
