USCIS Issues New Mailing Instructions for solo I-130, Petitions for Alien Relatives

U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) has revised its mailing instructions for relative petitions (Form I-130) filed without concurrently filed applications for Adjustment of Status (Form I-485). The I-130 petition forms should be filed at the USCIS Chicago Lockbox address listed in the USCIS Press Release dated November 30, 2007, available online at www.uscis.gov. The applicable P.O. Box varies depending on the state of residence of the petitioner.

All forms will be forwarded from the Chicago Lockbox to the applicable USCIS Service Center. Forms received directly at the Vermont Service Center or the California Service Center will not be rejected, but will be forwarded on to the appropriate Chicago Lockbox. Petitioners should be aware that this could delay processing of the petition.
