It is the time of year when many people and businesses resolve to get more organized. It is also the time of year when the phrase, “out with the old; in with the new” is common. Before hauling out the shredder or the garbage bin (the shredder is probably safer), businesses should consider what their recordkeeping obligations are under federal and state employment laws.
