This marks the second consecutive year in which Mr. Hankins and Mr. Rissman have received this honor. The list, which will be published in Florida Trend's July 2006 issue, comprises the top two percent of lawyers practicing in Florida. Attorneys in the Florida Legal Elite are chosen by their peers through a vast peer-review selection process in which attorneys provide the names of Florida lawyers they hold in the highest regard—lawyers they have worked with personally or recommended to others. Mr. Hankins is a member of Hodgson Russ's Real Estate & Finance Practice Group and has extensive experience in real estate law and condominium association work. He is certified by the Board of Legal Specialization and Education of the Florida Bar as a specialist in real estate law. He also practices in the areas of trust, corporate, charitable foundation, banking, and business law. Mr. Rissman concentrates his practice primarily on labor and employment litigation. He also advises employers regarding hiring, termination, and discipline of employees; compliance with federal, state and local discrimination laws and wage and hour issues, sexual harassment matters, I-9 compliance and unauthorized employment, and mass layoffs and plant closings. Mr. Rissman also practices in the area of employment-based immigration and naturalization. Hodgson Russ, which opened its first office in South Florida in 1974, is listed as a top law firm in the 2006 South Florida Legal Guide. Hodgson Russ is one of Boca Raton's largest law firms, and with more than 225 attorneys practicing in all major areas of law in the firm's seven offices, it is among the 200 largest law firms headquartered in the United States. Hodgson Russ is one of approximately 100 firms in the country listed in America's Greatest Places to Work With a Law Degree. The Firm, which was established in 1817 and is among the oldest law firms in the United States, is the only law firm that can count two former U.S. presidents, Millard Fillmore and Grover Cleveland, among its alumni. Hodgson Russ's office locations are Boca Raton, Florida; Albany, Buffalo, Johnstown, and New York, New York; and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. #### |
