Privacy StatementIntroductionYour privacy concerns are important to Hodgson Russ LLP (“HR”). You need to know what information about you is being collected over the Internet and how that information is being used. At www.hodgsonruss.com (the “Site”), a Web site maintained by HR, HR is committed to assisting you in this regard. To that end, this policy explains what information is collected by HR from users of the Site and how that information may be used by HR. Other Web SitesThe Site may be linked to other web sites. While this policy describes privacy issues relating to the Site, it does not describe the practices of any Web site that may be linked to the Site. You should consult the privacy policies of those other Web sites before submitting any information to them. HR is only responsible for information collected by it through the Site. Collection of InformationMost of the information collected by HR is provided directly by you. When using the Site, you may be asked to provide information about you, such as your name and e-mail address. If you do not want HR to have that information, you should not provide it. However, you may not be able to then enjoy some of the Site’s benefits. Other information collected by HR may be provided automatically when you access the Site. A number of companies offer software that enables you to anonymously visit the Site. If you use this software, HR will not be able to recognize you and some of the benefits of using the Site may be unavailable to you. Use of InformationHR only collects information for the purpose of making the Site more useful to its clients or otherwise to better serve its clients. Information collected by HR may also be used to occasionally notify you about changes to the Site, services offered by HR, recent developments in the law, and offers you may find of interest. Statistics may also be compiled by HR for many purposes using information provided by you. However, all statistics will be aggregated with other users of the Site and will not be associated with an individual user. CookiesLike many Web sites, HR may use “cookies.” Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your web browser on your computer’s hard drive. They enable the Site to recognize you as a repeat user of the Site. Your Web browser may provide you with the ability to not accept “cookies.” However, in order to take full advantage of the Site, HR recommends that you accept “cookies” from the Site. SecurityWhen you use the Site, HR offers a secure server. Software on the secure server encrypts all information before it is sent to HR. HR also uses other tools (such as firewalls) to safeguard your information from unauthorized access. ChildrenThe Site is not intended for use by children. If you are under 18, you may only use the Site with the supervision of a parent or guardian.
