Professional Experience: Mr. Comeau has practiced Florida law since 1975 and New York law since 1974. He focuses on high net worth clients, tax planning, and multistate tax issues. Mr. Comeau serves as co-editor of New York Tax Service and co-editor of New York Tax Cases. He is also co-chair of the Multistate Tax Committee of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section where he has also served as chair or co-chair of the New York Tax Matters Committee, Interstate Taxation and Sales Tax Committee and served as chair of the Tax Appeals Tribunal Subcommittee.
Presentations/Articles: Mr. Comeau lectures frequently throughout the United States on tax topics of importance to business executives and high net worth individuals. His articles have appeared in many national tax publications. He has spoken at meetings of COST, Tax Executives Institute, NESTOA, New York University Tax Program, Georgetown Tax Program, Chicago Tax Club, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants Foundation for Accounting Education, National Association of Accountants, New York State Bar Association, Federation of Tax Administrators, American Bar Association, and numerous other groups. He is a co-author of "Giving and Loaning Art to Charity," published in the May 2008 issue of Trusts & Estates.
Publications: Editor, New York Tax Analysis (CCH); co-author, The New York Residency Audit Handbook. Mr. Comeau also co-authored Contesting New York State Tax Assessments and the New York Chapter of the Sales and Use Tax Handbook published by the American Bar Association
