Areas of Practice: Corporate law, securities law, and regulatory compliance

Professional Experience: Ms. Sandison focuses her practice on corporate law, securities law, and regulatory compliance. She has advised investment management clients in connection with a diverse range of funds and investment products, including mutual funds, private investment funds, venture capital funds, offshore funds, and others. Her experience includes drafting and reviewing organizational documents and disclosures, advising on regulatory and compliance matters, and assisting registered investment companies and their trustees and advisers with initial public offerings, mergers, liquidations, and structuring matters. Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Ms. Sandison was an attorney in the corporate/investment management practice group of Ropes & Gray LLP in its New York City office.

Presentations/Publications: Ms. Sandison has authored and co-authored articles published in the New York State Bar Association's New York Real Property Law Journal, including "An Overview of Executive Order 13224 Compliance" (Spring/Summer 2007) and "The Second Annual Upstate Affordable Housing Conference" (Spring 2006).

Honors/Awards: At the University at Buffalo Law School, Ms. Sandison was editor-in-chief of the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review, associate editor of the Buffalo Criminal Law Review, outreach chair of the Buffalo Moot Court Board, and a member of the Jessup Moot Court Board.

Community Activities: Ms. Sandison served as an alumni mentor for the University at Buffalo New York City Program in Finance and Law (2007-2010).
