Effective January 1, 2018, the New York Paid Family Leave Law will require all New York employers to provide their employees with paid family leave from work.  Once fully phased in, eligible employees will be able to take 12 weeks of paid family leave per year.  Employers will be required to purchase paid family leave insurance policies or self-insure.  The premium for such policies, however, will be funded by employees.  Based on proposed regulations, employers may begin collecting weekly employee contributions as early as July 1, 2017 to fund the paid family leave benefits.  This seminar will review the key requirements of the New York Paid Family Leave Law, the financial implications of complying with the Act’s requirements, and how employers should handle the overlapping requirements of various employee leave laws.

RSVP no later than Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
