NY Nonprofit Revitalization Act Seminar
Starting July 1, 2014, New York nonprofit corporations and charitable trusts will face new requirements under the New York Nonprofit Revitalization Act. The act will broaden the Office of the Attorney General’s oversight of these entities. This seminar will provide an overview of the changes and a checklist of action items that nonprofits should implement.
Topics will include:
- The new mandatory conflict of interest policy
- The whistleblower policy, independent director rules, related party transaction rules, and audit rules
- How some of the act’s changes will streamline and simplify operations for nonprofits while others will require more paperwork and procedures
