Daniel C. Oliverio Appointed to Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority, Named Vice Chair
Daniel C. Oliverio, a partner at Hodgson Russ LLP, has been named to the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority (ECFSA) and appointed its new vice chairman.
"Dan has been a dedicated member of our community in Erie County for many years," said Robert Glasser, Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority chairman. "The skills Dan brings to the control board will help us tremendously in the oversight role we now have that focuses on facilitating good county financial decision-making, working to make the county workforce more productive through work-rule and benefits adjustments, and the allocation of millions of dollars in ECFSA grant money to create ongoing corporate efficiencies for the county taxpayer."
The fiscal stability authority was created by then-Gov. George Pataki in 2005 in the wake of Erie County's financial crisis. The seven-member board oversees the county's finances and until recently had been a "hard" agency, with every expenditure above $50,000 having to pass its scrutiny. The board moved back to a "soft" or advisory role earlier this spring.
