Three New Attorneys Join Hodgson Russ’s Buffalo Office

James C. Thoman, Partner, Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Thoman focuses his practice on complex transactional, litigation, and advisory work relating to various types of restructurings, commercial finance, Chapter 11 bankruptcies, and workouts. His experience includes representing corporate debtors and commercial creditors and lessors in bankruptcy proceedings in New York and across the United States. Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Mr. Thoman was a shareholder at the law firm Menter, Rudin & Trivelpiece, P.C.

Marissa A. Coheley, Associate, Business Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Coheley represents clients in complex litigation in both federal and state courts. Her experience includes matters involving commercial contract disputes, intellectual property, insurance defense, ERISA, and labor and employment. Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Ms. Coheley was an associate at another Buffalo-based law firm and a summer law clerk for U.S. District Judge John T. Curtin.

Michael J. Hecker, Associate, Environment & Energy Practice Group. Mr. Hecker focuses his practice on environmental transactional work and litigation. Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Mr. Hecker was an attorney at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP in New York City. He served as a law clerk for Chief Judge Richard J. Arcara in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York and for the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Western District of New York in its General Crimes/Affirmative Civil Enforcement divisions.
