Hodgson Russ Announces Five New Associates, Attorneys Pass New York State Bar

Hodgson Russ, one of the country’s leading law firms providing business-focused legal counsel to market-leading and emerging enterprises, governmental entities, nonprofit institutions, and individuals across the United States, Canada, and the world, is pleased to announce the following attorneys were recently admitted to the New York State Bar and subsequently named associates at the firm. All reside in the Buffalo office. They are:

Daniel R. Carosa has joined the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, where he focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, assists with trademark and copyright matters, and advises start-up businesses and not-for-profit organizations. A magna cum laude graduate of SUNY Buffalo Law School, he also holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the university.

Andrea M. Gervais has joined the Real Estate & Finance Practice, providing clients with advice for commercial real estate development, commercial leasing, and real estate investment and financing. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Union College, a Master of Science from Canisius College and graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Buffalo Law School.

Derek C. Kettner is in the Federal Tax Practice where he works on federal and international tax law matters.  His prior experience includes serving as an aide in the Chambers of Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. for a two-year term in Washington, DC. He holds a B.A. from Emory University and a J.D. from SUNY Buffalo Law School.

Nara J. Tjitradjaja is a member of the firm’s State & Local Tax Practice, advising clients on matters including disputes with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. Her work with the practice group includes counseling both corporations and individuals on a wide range of tax matters including sales tax, corporate franchise tax, residency audits, and voluntary disclosure projects. She holds a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Buffalo, and received her J.D. from SUNY Buffalo Law School.

Nicholas I. Vozzo is in the firm’s Torts, Insurance & Products Liability Practice, where he provides clients with guidance on defending significant complex personal injury and products liability actions. His practice also involves construction litigation, including labor law actions, and construction defect claims. He holds a B.A. from SUNY Buffalo and received his J.D. from University of Notre Dame Law School.
