October 1, 2009

Pamela Davis Heilman, a partner in Hodgson Russ's Corporate & Securities Practice Group, has been named to the advisory board of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars Canada Institute, a well-respected forum for scholarly discussions about Canada-U.S. relations.

In this role, Ms. Heilman will be an ambassador for the Canada Institute in the larger community and advise the leadership of both the Woodrow Wilson Center and its Canada Institute on topics such as strategic direction, programming and research agendas, fundraising, scholar recruitment, and communications and marketing. Ms. Heilman was invited to serve a four-year term on the board at the suggestion of Canadian Ambassador to the United States Michael Wilson and Canadian Consul General in Buffalo Stephen Brereton.

Established in 2001, Wilson Center’s Canada Institute is a leading convener of influential discussion and dialogue on Canada and Canada-U.S. relations in Washington, D.C. It seeks to promote a free flow of ideas and policy options for improving understanding, communication, and cooperation between the United States and Canada.
