Nara advises clients on state and local tax matters including disputes with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. Her work with the practice group includes counseling both corporations and individuals on a wide range of tax matters including sales tax, corporate franchise tax, residency audits, and voluntary disclosure projects.
While attending SUNY Buffalo Law School, Nara worked as a research assistant, assisting in the preparation of a book regarding tort claims and in creating syllabus materials for a Products Liability course. Her experience also includes working as a law clerk at a small Buffalo law firm, where among other duties, she conducted research and attended depositions, pre-trial conferences and Board of Elections hearings concerning petition objections.
