Sharon, who works with the firm's Nonprofit Law and Health Law Practice Groups, focuses on nonprofit law, with particular emphasis on issues involving tax-exempt status, donor-advised funds, private foundation rules, IRS Form 990, cross-border charity matters and "friends" organizations, intermediate sanctions, board governance, corporate formation and restructuring, and use of joint ventures and subsidiaries. She also advises on health law, concentrating on issues facing individual and institutional providers of health care, including fraud and abuse concerns, federal Stark rules, corporate formation and reorganization, limited liability companies (LLCs) and professional limited liability companies (PLLCs), physician contracts, and business matters.
