The renegotiation of NAFTA, imposition of tariffs on newsprint (and subsequent elimination) and first round of U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs (which turned into retaliatory duties on everything from blue jeans to chocolate) all point to one unmistakable conclusion: the times we live in are turbulent – at least when it comes to trade. Either directly or through the supply chain, it seems as if no one is immune from these actions, which are yielding both challenges and opportunities in the marketplace.
