Fraud and Cybersecurity: A Lawyer’s Perspective

• Representing clients who may have been victimized by embezzlement or fraud, representing clients accused of fraud, and how engaging an accountant under a Kovel arrangement can provide meaningful assistance to the client and counsel in either circumstance.
• How a company can best protect the personal information of its employees and customers, through internal controls and external security protocols. Jessica will also provide tips and strategies for handling a cyber-incident or breach, including when to involve counsel and engage forensic teams; whether a PR firm is necessary depending on the line of business (if it is customer facing) and how to manage reporting requirements throughout the United States.
