Hodgson Russ an Exceptional Firm According to NALP Report

Press Release
January 12, 2017

BUFFALO, N.Y. –The National Association for Law Placement's annual diversity report was recently released stating, among other things, that there was a fraction of a percent more female associates in 2016 than in 2015.

Hodgson Russ LLP is an exception to this trend. According to the firm’s Human Resources Department, 70% of the associates hired in 2016 were women. Hodgson Russ was also the first firm of its size to have a woman partner in 1963 (Allaire Karzon) and as president (Diane Bennett) from 1998 - 2004.

Concurrent with celebrating its bicentennial in 2017, the firm recently named five attorneys equity partners.  All of them are women:  Reetuparna (Reena) Dutta, Elizabeth Holden, Elizabeth Pascal, Jillian Searles and Valerie Stevens.

“More than 50 years ago, the glass ceiling was shattered at our firm, and the sky is the limit for all who practice here,” said chairman, Daniel Oliverio. “Hodgson Russ takes great pride in our history of recognizing and promoting exceptionally talented women and men.”
