Two Hodgson Russ Attorneys Selected to Author Monthly Columns in Tax Notes State

Joseph Endres and Sujata Yalamanchili were recently selected by Tax Notes State to author two separate monthly columns.

Joe’s column, “The Endres Assessment”, focuses on state and local tax trends and developments. His first article, co-authored with Tim Noonan, is titled, “COVID-19 Impact on New York Residency, Day Counts, and Allocation”. Sujata’s column, the “Real Assessment”, focuses on real estate tax trends and developments. Her first article, co-authored with Henry Zomerfeld, is titled “Tenants, Taxes, and Tax Assessment Challenges”.

Sujata and Joe join Tim Noonan, author of the Tax Notes State’s “Noonan’s Notes” column, which was first published in 2007.

Tax Notes State is a weekly magazine featuring expert commentary, analysis, and special reports on state and local tax issues.

Joe is the Leader of the firm’s Sales & Use Tax Practice, the Abandoned Property Audits Practice, and Co-leader of the Brownfield Redevelopment Practice. He counsels clients on a wide range of state and local taxation issues and represents taxpayers in disputes with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, as well as the New York City Department of Finance.

Sujata is the Leader of the firm’s Real Estate Leasing Practice, Foreign Embassies & Consulate Practice and the Retail Sector Industry group.
