Jeffrey Stravino Appointed President of the UB Law Alumni Association

Hodgson Russ Partner Jeffrey C. Stravino has been appointed President of the University at Buffalo’s Law Alumni Association. Stravino, who received his JD in 1997, will serve a one-year term. Previously he served as an Alumni Association Board member, Treasurer, and Vice President. For 125 years, the Law Alumni Association has served alumni and law students with events and programs, social and educational opportunities, and a network of connections, throughout the country and internationally.

A member of the Hodgson Russ Board of Directors, Jeff focuses his practice on business and environmental litigation. He is experienced in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including federal and state court litigation at both the trial and appellate levels.  Jeff represents individuals as well as large and small companies in environmental, shareholder, accounting, health care, software and complex contract matters.

Jeff successfully worked with the U.S. attorney to obtain a several-million-dollar settlement for the government and his clients in False Claims Act (qui tam) litigation. As a local counsel for out-of-town clients, he has extensive experience representing clients in mediations and arbitrations, including before the American Arbitration Association under both commercial rules and international rules, and has served as a mediator, successfully resolving lawsuits pending in state and federal courts.

A resident of Grand Island, NY, Jeff is a former Buffalo Business First 40 Under 40 awardee, and is listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, (Environment) 2020 – 2021 and Best Lawyers in America (Commercial Litigation) 2014 – 2021.
