WNY Life Sciences Companies, Students Teaming Up

Startup Blog Alert
September 8, 2016

Western New York life sciences companies will soon be eligible to take advantage of the region’s world-class biotech employment pool.

The Life Sciences Career Experience Program, sponsored by the University at Buffalo’s NYS Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences (CBLS), is accepting job postings for the upcoming year. The aim of the program is twofold, both increasing students’ awareness of the life sciences and helping companies grow.

The program, open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students from any major, runs the length of the Spring 2016 semester, wherein the CBLS will sponsor UB students to be employed with local life sciences companies. Companies will benefit from temporary project support while the UB students gain hands-on, practical experience. Participating companies can take part in the program free of charge.

Company eligibility is considered by submitting job postings to Sandra Small, Ph.D. via the form link here. The companies must be positioned in the life sciences field and must be based in the greater Buffalo region.

The deadline for submission is 5pm on Tuesday, September 27. Spots are limited, so submit applications soon. Chosen companies will be notified by Thursday, October 6.

For more details on the program, contact Sandra Small at 716.888.4851 or sksmall@buffalo.edu
