Chris is a Technical Specialist in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice where his work focuses on assisting attorneys in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. His areas of focus include immunology, immunotherapy, cancer biology, vaccine development, toxin biology, and infectious diseases.

Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Chris did his doctoral work at the University at Buffalo in the Microbiology and Immunology Department. His dissertation focused on understanding the adjuvant properties of heat-labile enterotoxins. Following his dissertation, Chris took a post-doctoral position at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Department of Urology where he studied the role of iron metabolism in kidney cancer.

He then accepted a fellowship position through the Center for Protein Therapeutics at the University at Buffalo where his research focused on overcoming T cell inhibition in tumors. Chris is a first author and co-author on multiple peer-reviewed publications. He has presented his work at local and national conferences and he has been listed as an inventor on two patent applications.
