Elissa focuses her practice on real estate and related work, representing purchasers and sellers of retail space, office complexes, vacant land for development, and other investment properties. Her practice includes leasing work, representing both landlords and tenants; financing transactions; and residential matters. For example, Elissa frequently leads first-time home purchasers through the sometimes complicated process of purchasing apartments in New York City. Several of her transactions have been reported in the "Big Deal" column in the New York Times real estate section. Elissa is also experienced in sophisticated New York State and New York City transfer tax analysis.

  • Representing a client in the purchase of a unit in a marquee New York City building
  • Representing a New York City multi-family property owner in a mortgage refinance
  • Representing a New York City property owner in the sale of a mixed-use property as a tax-free exchange, followed by the purchase of three retail shopping centers in the Memphis, Tennessee, region as replacements properties
