Joel concentrates his practice in environmental and energy law. His practice includes representing businesses and municipalities in commercial, land use, and contract based litigation, as well as advising clients on compliance and permitting issues, regulatory enforcement actions, and environmental risk assessments.
Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Joel worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York where he gained extensive litigation experiencing up through and including jury trials representing numerous State agencies, officials, and employees on a wide variety of civil matters. Prior to that, he worked as a commercial litigation associate at a Buffalo law firm.
