Mario J. Papa Elected to New York State Museum Board of Directors

Mario J. Papa, a partner in Hodgson Russ LLP's Corporate & Securities Practice Group, was recently elected to the board of directors of the New York State Museum.

Located on Madison Avenue in Albany, the museum is a cultural program of the New York State Education Department. Started in 1836, its mission is to promote inquiry and advance knowledge in the fields of geology, biology, anthropology, and history through the investigation of material evidence germane to New York State's past, present, and future

Mr. Papa concentrates his practice in all aspects of corporation taxation and corporation law including mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, and trust and probate law. He is the former City Judge of the City of Gloversville (1984-92) and is currently the Assistant City Judge. He lectures extensively on estate and business succession planning, charitable giving, and corporate mergers and acquisitions, and he is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
