As practice area leader, Ms. Yalamanchili will oversee the firm’s Real Estate & Finance and Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Commercial Litigation Practice Groups. The firm has five practice areas, each overseen by a PAL, and they are the primary business units of the firm. The other four practice areas are Business; Litigation; Employment, Benefits, and Immigration; and Tax.

Gary M. Her skills and talents in this area will ultimately benefit our clients as well as all of us at the firm.”

Ms. Yalamanchili will succeed John P. Amershadian as the firm’s Real Estate, Finance & Bankruptcy PAL.

Mr. Schober said, “As one of the longest-serving members of our management team, we are grateful to John for his many years of outstanding leadership. All of us at Hodgson Russ join together to thank John as we look forward to Sujata’s leadership.”

As a partner in the firm’s Real Estate & Finance Practice Group, Ms. Yalamanchili draws on her extensive experience in business and commercial real estate development, commercial leasing, and real estate investment and financing to provide business-focused legal advice to help her clients reach their goals. Ms. Yalamanchili currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Summit Educational Resources, as a trustee of the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site Foundation, and as a member of the board of directors of the University at Buffalo School of Management Alumni Association, which she previously served as president.

Mr. Amershadian, also a partner in the Real Estate & Finance Practice Group, concentrates his practice in transactional work, including bank and other financing and the purchase and sale of businesses. He serves as the lead attorney in multi-lender financings representing borrowers and bank syndicates; represents developers in construction and permanent mortgage financings; and assists with multiple types of asset-backed securitizations. He is a director and the secretary of Western New York Public Broadcasting Association (WNED).
