Comprehensive Restructuring of Affiliation Relationships for Hospital System and Physician Practice

Hodgson Russ represents a hospital system and a large physician practice in a comprehensive restructuring of their affiliation relationships. The project involves advice on the federal and state laws addressing physician compensation and referral relationships (including the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute and their New York counterparts). In addition, the project involves a comprehensive review of the qualifications of physicians to participate in the practice and the documentation setting out the relationship between the system and the practice.
