NYSSBA 2020 Policy Online Workshop - Student Substance Abuse: What Can School Districts Do?

Ryan Everhart presented on the Legal Landscape for Combating Student Substance Abuse for the 2020 Policy Online Workshop sponsored by New York State School Boards Association on April 29, 2020.  The presentation discussed legally defensible actions which are available to districts to address student and alcohol abuse such as conducting proper searches and drug testing as well as entering into agreements with health care providers.
